About Me

Hello and welcome. My name is Tammy and I live in a small town outside of Lubbock called Idalou. I have three wonderful boys and I have been married for almost 19 years. I have been professionally taking pictures for about 10 years and before that I always had a camera in my hand. I worked with film and then switched to full digital after I bought a Canon 10D years ago. With all the custom products (poster, trading cards, etc) digital was much easier than scanning pictures then creating in Photoshop. I have been playing with Photoshop for about 17 years and just like photography I learn new things every day. I have 3 Canon cameras Mark III, 7D, and 50D. I have a variety of lens that help me get the job done. I find it is always good to have backups because you never know when something can break and in a wedding you have to be ready for anything. I know this from experience considering I had it happen. One of the cameras decided to break right in the middle of the ceremony but since it was the 3rd shooter, we were ready to continue to capture the special day with no panic needed.

I love capturing the special moments , the crooked grins, the pouts, the first kiss as husband and wife, the final touchdown of the season, the first homerun of a t- ball player even if he went the wrong way , the basket made at the buzzer and all the precious memories that make us who we are.

It would be a privilege to have the opportunity to take your special memories and capture them. I understand the struggle to find the time and the energy it takes to get ready to get your pictures taken.

I have had experience on both sides of the camera. Getting my kids pictures taken when they were younger was like running a marathon, I was exhausted by the time we were done getting pictures. So I understand your pain, that is why with younger children, I try and create a relaxed fun atmosphere where everyone has some fun. I myself hate my picture taken but now I regret not getting pictures taken yearly and having that photograph that documented our family for each year, I was always waiting till I lost that weight but now I realize it doesn't matter, you never know what is ahead and having that memory captured is always better than looking back wishing you could go back and do it over. Now every year I make sure we get our picture taken even with all the grumbling and complaining (yes, my kids do it too) .

I have to say every job is an adventure and I enjoy every minute of it. My clients are my friends, and I love making new friends and helping capture those special moments and customizing to make it uniquely YOU.
